Ilya Yakushev

"Best in the World" is a very high claim, but Ilya Yakushev has the proof. He is the Gold Medal Winner of the 2005 World Piano Competition and brings a fresh and exciting presence to every stage. Ilya is a native of St. Petersburg, Russia and has performed at major venues on three continents. He won his first award at age 12 as a prizewinner of the Russian Young Artists Concerto Competition. On this tour, he is combining an eye opening video presentation of the paintings that inspired Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition while he plays that famous piece.
